JACKSONVILLE, NC – Mother Nature has put a freeze on the Winter Heat Series at Goodyear All American Speedway with the cancelation of Saturday afternoon’s race.
The weekend forecast calls for rain and snow as well as temperatures in the low-30s. On Monday morning, Goodyear All American Speedway made the decision to call off the race, which was set to feature eight (8) divisions including the return of Street Stocks and Chargers.
“We’ve been monitoring the weather for days and the forecast just continues to get worse and worse,” Goodyear All American Speedway operator Anthony Goodyear said. “Best-case scenario, conditions will be cold and rainy. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to cancel this weekend’s race.”
The Atlantic Turfscapes Winter Heat Series will resume in February.
