Winter Heat Series points structure announced

JACKSONVILLE, NC – A simplified points structure will be in effect for the Atlantic Turfscapes Winter Heat Series at Goodyear All American Speedway, which kicks off on Saturday, December 4.

The track will follow the traditional one point per position formula, with races paying 20 points to win, then dropping one point per position behind that.  The points structure is based on a 20 car field but, in the event that the field exceeds 20, the track will pay one (1) point to each driver who finishes the race behind 20th.

Additionally, any driver who elects to start at the rear of the field, if the field exceeds 10 cars, will be eligible for a five-point bonus if they win the race.  Any driver who intends to pursue the bonus must declare their intentions at least 15 minutes before their feature race starts.

Points will be awarded only in the Mini Stock, U-CAR, Legends, Bomber, and Bandolero classes.  Late Models, Street Stocks, Chargers, and Super Trucks will all compete in individual events during the Winter Heat Series.
