JACKSONVILLE, NC – Toni Jolly has been named the official track photographer at New River All-American Speedway for the 2023 season, filling a void for the track.
Jolly, who is from Swansboro, took up sports photography as a hobby several years ago, mainly to capture memories of her daughter, Abby, and son, Dustin, as they competed in various sports – which began including auto racing in 2018 when Abby decided to start racing at Carteret County Speedway. In 2021, Toni Jolly decided she wanted to take up photography as a living.
“I am very honored to be asked to be the track photographer for New River All-American Speedway,” Jolly said. “I love photography and am happiest with a camera in my hand when I am at the track. I’ve been taking sports photos as a hobby for years but decided that I wanted to do it for a living a couple years ago, and finally decided what I wanted to do after the kids grew up.”
Jolly has taken photos of several races at New River All-American Speedway over the past few years, including the final two races of 2022 and the Hangover 150 on New Year’s Day. New River All-American Speedway decided to make her role permanent just ahead of the biggest race of the spring, the 2nd Annual Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars on Saturday, March 4 – which ushers in the beginning of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series era at the 4/10-mile track in Jacksonville.
“We are excited to have Toni Jolly doing photography for us,” Andy Marquis, media director at New River All-American Speedway, said. “She has filled in for us numerous times to do photos as we’ve searched for a permanent track photographer. Toni gets great photos, not just on the track but off the track as well, and she has a genuine passion for it and is always eager to learn more and improve past the point of perfection with her work.”
Toni Jolly Photography also does family photography, senior photos, photos of babies, pets, wildlife, and weddings, and is available to do publicity shots for drivers with and without their cars.
