JACKSONVILLE, NC – Goodyear All American Speedway is expanding its entertainment offerings this spring and summer with live music and other activities on Family Fun Fridays.
On the first and third Friday night of every month, through September, Goodyear All American Speedway will host concerts that will be free to attend and open to the public. Family Fun Friday begins in on May 6th with Big Jim Kohler.
“When we opened this track, we always wanted to do more than just host racing,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said. “We got together with Jayke Steel from Steel County Express and he’s put together some concerts throughout the summer. It’s a great thing for families to just bring their kids to the track, take in some live music, and have some fun.”
The events will take place on Friday nights. When the concerts occur during race weekends, they will take place after Friday night open practices – which are also free for spectators to attend.
While the Family Fun Friday events begin in May, there will also be a concert on Friday night, April 22nd, on the eve of the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour event featuring Motherload. Saturday, April 30th will also see a pre-race concert prior to the start of the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and Atlantic Turfscapes Super Truck Series races on the same night.
Freeway will also be performing ahead of the July 30th race which features INEX National Qualifier championship races for the Legends and Bandoleros. Steel County Express will perform ahead of the August 13th race which also features racing for the USAC Eastern Midgets.
