JACKSONVILLE, NC – Mother Nature has claimed her first, and hopefully last, victory of the season at New River All-American Speedway.

Saturday night’s Race of Remembrance, which was to be headlined by the B-52 Bomber Car Battle, has been canceled due to the forecast of significant rainfall and tropical storm-force winds.  The B-52 Bomber Car Battle will be made up at a later date, and each NASCAR and INEX-sanctioned division that was scheduled to run will have make-up dates for their feature races.

“We never like to cancel a race, but we just don’t see a window for getting the entire racing program in for Saturday night,” New River All-American Speedway owner Anthony Goodyear said.  “We can’t come back and race on Sunday because Carteret County Speedway is racing a half hour away and it’s not good for anyone when both tracks run at the same time, as has been happening the past two years.  So we’re going to look down the calendar and come up with another date.”

The next race on the schedule at New River All-American Speedway is The Angry Ginger Irish Pub 207 featuring the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and Carolina Crate Modified Series on Friday, June 2, 2022.

New River All-American Speedway is Jacksonville’s Action Attraction featuring racing and other events.  For more information about New River All-American Speedway, check out the speedway’s websitelike/follow “New River Speedway” on Facebookfollow @newriverswy on Twitter, or follow the track on Instagram.
