JACKSONVILLE, NC – New River All American Speedway’s Charger division has a title sponsor for the first time as the 2024 season heads into the summer stretch.
Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque, which has five locations in Eastern North Carolina, has acquired naming rights to the Charger division and will be the title sponsor of an upcoming race at New River All American Speedway. The roots for Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque date back to the 1940s and has since grown into an empire in the coastal community.
“Moore’s Barbeque is excited to be partnering with New River All American Speedway in becoming the title sponsor of the Charger division,” Graham Heath, director of operations for Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque, said. “We have a saying at Moore’s that we are ‘where families come together,’ and we are glad that we are able to partner with New River All American Speedway in providing the surrounding community with racing entertainment that the whole family can enjoy.”
The Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque Charger division is a V8 division consisting mostly of older Late Model Stock Cars and Limited Late Models, but also has some newer chassis and crate engines. The division is run under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program as Division II and competes regularly at New River.
“We’re happy to have Moore’s Barbeque come on board,” New River All American Speedway track operator Anthony Goodyear said. “The Moore’s Barbeque Chargers are one of the most exciting divisions and always enjoyed by the drivers and fans. We’re thankful for Graham Heath and everyone at Moore’s for partnering with the track and spotlighting this division.”
The Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque Chargers will be in action twice on Saturday night as part of the SPEARS Manufacturing 400 – which boasts Double Features for all 10 divisions that compete at New River All American Speedway. The Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque Chargers purse was enhanced in 2024.
Tyler Horne holds a nine-point advantage over David Barne in the Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque Charger championship standings. Horne swept twin features the last time the division raced at New River on May 4, 2024.
ABOUT MOORE’S OLD TYME BARBEQUE
Where families come together
David Moore and his wife Michelle, along with Tommy Moore and his wife Barbara, have continued the tradition their parents started by combining over 100 years of experience to create the new Moore’s Barbeque. At Moore’s, our barbeque is slow cooked and smoked over real wood daily until it’s so tender it’s falling off the bone. Combined with our fresh chicken, cooked-to-order seafood, and homemade side items, we’re sure you’ll agree that “It’s Moore’s or Less.”
Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque has locations in New Bern, Morehead City, Jacksonville, Swansboro, and Winterville. For more information about Moore’s, including locations, menu, catering and more, visit mooresoldetymebbq.com.
