JACKSONVILLE, NC – Eddie Humphrey and Duane Walker each picked up wins in a Bomber doubleheader at Saturday’s Hangover 150 at Goodyear All American Speedway.
Humphrey dominated in the first 20 lap duel as a thrilling, three-car battle for second took place in his rear-view mirror between Andrew Warner, Justin Breshears, and Walker. Warner ended up prevailing to take the second spot while Humphrey celebrated his first Goodyear All American Speedway victory.
“I had some things on my racing bucket list, and one of those things was getting back in my car after so many years and winning one with my little girl,” Humphrey said in victory lane. “The second one was to come back and get a win here at this track, where it all started. Man, that was so much fun. I’m so blessed and happy.”
Humphrey also announced that he would be putting Adam Mattice, who won a Jr. Mini Cup championship at Carteret County Speedway, in his car.
The second race saw Duane Walker, who charged his way through the first in the first race, come away with his second Bomber victory at Goodyear All American Speedway.
Adam Fulford picked up his second consecutive win in the Super Truck division, leading wire-to-wire and holding off a late race challenge from Chase Singletary, who also finished second in the Legends race later in the afternoon.
“Great race,” Fulford said. “Hats off the lal the guys who helped me, they made some amazing changes today that put us on the money. We were second to Chris [Burns] in the first and second practice, made some gains in the third, and when I qualified, I couldn’t believe the time we ran. I think we’re where we can race with guys like Jody [Measamer] week in and week out.”
Brenton Irving scored the win in Legends competition. Phoenyx Kimball led wire-to-wire in the Bandolero feature race. Travis Miller picked up the victory in the Mini Stock feature with a last lap pass on Curtis Lanier. In the Champ Kart division, the battle for the win came down to brothers Lee and John Ottaway – with John Ottaway taking home the checkered flag. Bethany Pridgen, Chris Burns’ girlfriend, won in the Powder Puff feature.
