JACKSONVILLE, NC – Racing is roaring back to life in Jacksonville on Saturday at Goodyear All American Speedway with the All American Showdown, and it will be the first of seven races to take place in the second half of 2021.
After Saturday’s opener, racing will resume on Saturday, August 14th with the Carolina Mini Stock Challenge Summer Nationals. Races are also scheduled for: Saturday, August 28th; Saturday, September 11th; Saturday, October 9th; and Sunday, November 14th.
Additionally, a Halloween Havoc demolition derby event has been scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd which is destined to deliver on thrills and spills under the lights on a crisp autumn evening.
The 9/11 Tribute Race, which takes place on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on America, will take time to remember the events of that fateful morning and honor the nation’s first responders and the heroic men and women of the United States Armed Forces. First responders and active and retired military will get in free of charge on Saturday, September 11th.
On November 14th, Goodyear All American Speedway plans to gather the biggest names in Late Model Stock Car racing to Jacksonville for a Battle of the Stars. Invitations will be sent to several drivers, including the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour’s Lucas Oil Touring 12. Details on the Battle of the Stars will be announced in the coming weeks.
Saturday’s season-opening race promises a strong field of Late Models, Super Trucks, Mini Cups, and Champ Karts with Street Stocks, Legends and U-CARs also on the schedule. 56 drivers have already confirmed their entries for Saturday night’s All American Showdown with several more drivers committing to the race in what will be the biggest asphalt race of the summer, to date, in Eastern North Carolina.
Numerous improvements have been made to the track in Jacksonville in preparation for the season opener, most notably with the red, white, and blue walls around the track and at the upgraded concession stands.
Tickets are available for the All American Showdown at the gate on race day for $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/military/students (with ID), $5 for kids ages 6-12 while kids five and under get in free.
