D.J. "Mad Dawg" Murphy

D.J. Murphy is the 2022 New River All-American Speedway track champion in the Legends division and a multi-time winner at the track.

Murphy is also a retired United States Marine Corps. Staff Sergeant., having previously been stationed at Camp Lejeune as well as at Camp Pendleton in California.  He was medically retired after an injury in Afghanistan in 2010.  Before joining the military, he grew up in Rochester, New York.  After retiring, he returned to New York before moving to the warmer climate in North Carolina.

Mike Ridenour

Mike Ridenour began racing at New River All-American Speedway in 2022, finishing third in the track’s championship standings that season.

In 2023, Ridenour will continue racing in Legend Cars.

Scotty Benford

Scotty Benford began racing in Legends in 2020, moving up from Jr. Mini Cups where he scored wins at Carteret County Speedway.  In 2022, Benford picked up two wins in a Legend Car at Caraway Speedway.

Benford has multiple starts and podium finishes at New River All-American Speedway.

Chase Singletary

Chase Singletary has been racing in Legends since 2019 and has won a track championship at Carteret County Speedway as well as a Winter Heat Series championship at New River All-American Speedway.  Prior to racing Legends, Singletary was a dominant competitor in Mini Cup racing.

He will race on dirt and asphalt in 2023, as well as making a handful of starts in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series.

Carsyn Gillikin

Carsyn Gillikin began her racing career in 2020, driving in Jr. Mini Cups where she instantly found success at Carteret County Speedway and New River All-American Speedway.  She has since moved up to the Legend division, where she finished second in points in 2022.

Gillikin has a distinct place in history as the last driver to win a race at the historic Myrtle Beach Speedway prior to its closure in the summer of 2020.

Super Truck

Will Long, III

Will Long, III began his racing career when he was three years old, first in BMX, the moving up to Motocross and eventually WKA Karting where he won two championships. After racing in a 410 Sprint Car and in Super Late Models in the Midwest, he moved to North Carolina where he competed in the USAR Pro Cup Series, Late Model Stock Cars, UMP Dirt Modifieds, INEX Legends and more.

In 2023, he will race in Super Trucks at New River All-American Speedway as well as in a Late Model Stock Car and in some dirt racing events.
