JACKSONVILLE, NC – Seven drivers will have written their names in the New River All-American Speedway history books when the sun sets on Sunday evening.

Championships in the Late Model, Charger, and U-CAR divisions will all be settled on Saturday night, while the semifinal races for the Bombers and Champ Karts will also take place.  Then, on Sunday afternoon, the Bombers, Champ Karts, Legends, and Bandoleros will all be decided in winner-take-all showdowns.

In the Late Model division, the championship will come down to who finishes the highest among T.J. Barron, Rusty Daniels, Adam Resnick, and Paul Williamson.  Barron has six wins on the season and Daniels has five while Resnick and Williamson are looking for their first wins of the season.  Williamson is taking Michael O’Brien’s spot in the division final.

Tyler Chapman, Gator Williams, and Mike Jones will settle the Charger division amongst themselves.  Chapman has nine wins, Williams has one, and Jones is chasing his first.  Abby Jolly can clinch the U-CAR division championship with a third-place finish, or by finishing within two positions of Curtis Lanier.  Meanwhile, the semifinal races in the Bombers and Champ Karts will take place.

The top four finishers among the semifinalists, listed below, will advance to Sunday’s finals for the track’s two most competitive divisions, Bombers and Champ Karts.

Bomber Playoff semifinalists: Hunter Brown (4 wins), Kevin Wrenn (4 wins), Nathan Hall (3 wins), Eddie Humphrey (3 wins), Haley Brown (2 wins), Andrew Jackson (2 wins), Richard Smith, and Robert Drum.

Champ Kart semifinalists: Josh Eubanks (6 wins), Aaron Layden (4 wins), Corey Lucas (2 wins), Jacob Tingen (2 wins), Keith Webb (1 wins), Daniel Baker (1 win), Herbert Keaton, and Ashley Keaton.

The Legends and Bandolero championships will also be decided on Sunday afternoon when the green flag waves at 2:00pm.

Carson Haislip, who has seven wins on the season, is favored to win the championship, but sophomore driver Aiden McConnaughey is riding a wave of momentum after winning Saturday night’s INEX Legends National Qualifier – his third win of the season.  Sisters Phoenyx and Raven Kimball will also challenge for that title.

The Bandolero division will come down to Landon Burbage, Delaney Gray, and Aidan Zschiedrich.

United Rentals Championship Weekend begins on Saturday night at 7:00pm and continues on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm.  Tickets are $10 for each day, or $15 for both days, while kids five (5) and under are admitted free.  Gates open for spectators at 5:00pm on Saturday and 12:00pm on Sunday.
