Entry list growing for Battle of the Stars at Goodyear All American Speedway

JACKSONVILLE, NC – The entry list for next Sunday’s Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars at Goodyear All American Speedway has been growing over the past week with 19 drivers who have officially entered the race and several more drivers expected to enter in the coming days.

The Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars, which pays $10,000-to-win and has a total purse just shy of $30,000, will commence on Sunday, November 14, and already features an All-Star ensemble of drivers – including NASCAR winners, CARS Tour winners, ARCA competitors, and track champions from all around the tri-state region.

One of the most notable entries, which came in over the weekend, is NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Tate Fogleman.  Fogleman, the son of veteran racer Jay Fogleman, picked up his first career NASCAR win on October 2 at the legendary Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.  Fogleman will compete against former Goodyear All American Speedway (Coastal Plains Raceway) track champion T.J. Barron, who has multiple wins at the venue this year, former Martinsville Speedway race winner Jason York, two-time Carteret County Speedway champion Chris Burns, rising star Conner Jones, veterans Ryan Wilson, Chris Chapman, B.J. Mackey, and a growing supporting cast.

The Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars is the first marquee race to be run at the track in the Goodyear All American Speedway era.  It is also the biggest race to be held on the 4/10-mile oval in Onslow County since the late-2000s when current NASCAR Cup Series superstars Bubba Wallace, Ryan Blaney, Matt DiBenendetto, and Corey LaJoie competed in UARA and PASS competition.

“I’m happy to be a part of bringing this track back to the level it needs to be with the history that’s been here,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said.  “We want to race.  We have one of the nicest short tracks in North Carolina and want to bring this track back to life.  We appreciate all the racers and teams who have been here and are coming here to participate in a new beginning here at Goodyear All American Speedway.”

Open practice for the Solid Rock Carriers Battle of the Stars will take place on Saturday, November 13 from 12pm-5pm and is open to the public to watch free of charge, while the race will take place on Sunday, November 14 at 3pm.  The Bandolero, Legends, Bomber, and U-CAR divisions will be the preliminary feature races before the 150-lap main event for the Late Model Stock Cars.

Tickets are available at the gate on race day for $20 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12, and kids five (5) and under free.  Discounts are available for active duty and retired military, seniors, and students, with ID.  The race will be broadcast live on Speed51.TV for out of area fans who want to witness the event.
