JACKSONVILLE, NC – New River All American Speedway is bringing the Battle of the Stars back in 2024 with a bigger, bolder weekend of racing and entertainment in November 2024.

The most notable change the addition of a $5,000-to-win Pro Late Model race which will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, prior to the $10,000-to-win Late Model Stock Car race.  Additionally, the third renewal of the Battle of the Stars will forgo stages and competition cautions in favor of a more traditional distance race.

The Late Model Stock Car portion will be a 131 lap, four tire race, while the Pro Late Models will run for 100 laps, also a four-tire race.  In the past, the Battle of the Stars had been split into three stages with an invert at the end of either of the two stages.

“We wanted to mix things up to make this year’s Battle of the Stars the biggest one yet,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said.  “Running the races straight up will change how drivers approach this race in terms of managing their tires and deciding when to race hard.  We’ve also had a lot of requests to run Pro Late Models so we’ve added them to this event as well.”

Saturday’s racing program will also feature the debut of the Juice Box division at New River All American Speedway, an electric karting class made exclusively for youths.  Bombers, Legends and Bandoleros will also be in action as the Prelim card for the 2024 Battle of the Stars.

“We’ve been looking into Juice Box racing for a while for the kids,” Goodyear said.  “We’ve talked with Robert Kitchen about setting it up and have decided to start running them, starting with the Battle of the Stars on November 16.”

The Juice Box will be split up into two different races – one race for kids ages 3-5 running 24-volt Radio Flyer Ultimate Go-Karts, and another race for kids ages 6-7 in 36-volt Flyer Extreme Drift Go-Karts.

The other change is the addition of a racing program on Friday night, November 15, 2024.

Fast Friday at The Battle will feature racing for Street Stocks in a 75-lap showdown, as well as a 50 lap Legends race, and racing for Bandoleros, Champ Karts, and Rumblers. Prior to the racing program on Friday, there will be an afternoon test session for Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models.

There will also be all day practice on Thursday followed by a live concert at the track, which will soon be announced.
