This weekend’s race has been canceled due to staffing shortages and a family emergency.
Over the past few races, we have run with a barebones staff due to shortages. It has put a ton of stress on our dedicated, hard-working staff at Goodyear All American Speedway who are often having to handle multiple different jobs at once. We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our racing family and want our races to run smoothly behind the scenes.
While we may not be perfect, our dedicated staff consists of people who give up their personal time to come to the track to keep the gates open and provide our racers with a place to race where they, along with our fans, will feel welcome and appreciated. We know things did not go smoothly at times this past weekend, and we know mistakes were made. Rectifying some issues simply requires more staff so everyone can focus on their responsibilities.
Additionally, an emergency in the Goodyear family requires Mrs. Goodyear to be away from the track this weekend. While we love short track racing with all our hearts, family will always come first.
We look forward to returning to action on Saturday, September 10 with the Southern Ground Pounders, Bombers, Chargers, Legends, Bandoleros, and Mini Stocks, and we are also looking forward to making some more announcements about the remainder of our 2022 season in the coming weeks.
